We recommend checking your water levels and clearing your baskets first. If it still won't catch prime, let us know! Running a dry pump can burn out the motor, so we can run an equipment diagnostic for $95 to find and fix the issue before serious damage occurs.

Green water indicates an algae bloom. This usually happens when chlorine levels drop too low, filtration is poor, or chemical levels like cyanuric acid (CYA) or phosphates are out of balance. To clear it requires proper water testing, heavy brushing, chemical shocking, and sometimes filter cleaning. We recommend a full filter teardown and physical cleaning every 3 to 6 months depending on the season and surrounding trees. You'll know it's time for a cleaning if your filter pressure gauge reads 8-10 PSI above its normal "clean" starting pressure, if the water flow at your pool jets feels weak, or if your water starts looking cloudy. Platinum customers receive FREE quarterly filter cleanings.

For a safe, sanitary, and comfortable swimming environment, target these ideal ranges: Chlorine at 1.0–3.0 ppm, pH between 7.2–7.8, Total Alkalinity between 80–120 ppm, and Cyanuric Acid (CYA stabilizer) between 30–50 ppm. No, you do not need to be home. As long as we have clear access to your pool and the equipment area (unlocked gates, no aggressive pets), we will complete our service and leave your pool swim-ready.
